Find basic and advanced grounding techniques you can use to help you feel more stable and settled.

Grounding is a powerful tool to help you feel more settled and secure within your body and space.

Basic Grounding Techniques

  • Stand outside barefoot
  • Stand outside barefoot on wet grass
  • Sit on a rock
  • Spend time in nature
  • Eat a carbohydrate loaded meal

Why is grounding important?

Every spiritual journeyer experiences walking between two worlds: on one hand you know that what you’re experiencing is the real reality, but you have to continue living and functioning in a false reality in order to be able to take care of the practical issues of day-to-day life.

I’m not going to lie here, walking between two worlds is difficult, and it will become more difficult as you go further along the path because the contrast between the two worlds is so extreme.

Grounding regularly will help you with this in two ways:

  1. Your soul will be anchored into your body, enabling you to function from a physical instead of purely spiritual level.
  2. You will feel more human (which isn’t always a great feeling), which will make it easier for other people to be in and around your energy. You’ll understand them better because you will be more plugged in to your own humanity – more aware of your, and by association their, human needs.

PEMS Integration Chambers & Meditations

When you’re on a growth path and have begun to see conscious results from healing and development work, it’s really easy to forget that sometimes your body needs to integrate the new experience and energy before it takes on another load to shift.

Likewise, you may find yourself shifting so much stuff that you never have time to enjoy the new levels of being a relief that comes from each shift, because you’re constantly busy processing the next layer of emotional turmoil.

One way to circumvent this is to do specific integration healing chambers and meditations. Begin by setting an intention at the beginning of your session work that you want to integrate and assimilate all the learnings and energies in your system. Call whatever deities or beings you work with and ask them to assist you in integrating your learnings and experiences.

Make sure that you ask that integration is across all your bodies – physical, emotional, mental and spiritual, and make this a regular part of your routine if you are shifting a lot. It wouldn’t be unrealistic to be doing 3 or 4 integrations a week with the current global energy.

The Pleiadian Workbook by Amorah Quan Yin (http://www.amazon.com/The-Pleiadian-Workbook-Awakening-Divine/dp/1879181312) is also chock full of integration and healing exercises and chambers you can use as well, and it’s a fantastic resource for both the knowledgeable and newbies.

Your Higher Dimensional Self

If you do a lot of spiritual energy work with your Higher Self, this may be a major culprit in ungrounding you.

When you’re working solely on the spiritual dimensions and operating from your soul, you become less and less attached to the earthly plane. In fact, for most of us, we love living as our souls, and so we tend to fly off to the clouds as often as we can.

Thing is if you were meant to just live as a soul, you wouldn’t need a body. However, we can’t exactly shirk our spiritual duties either, because these are the ones that grate at us and cause us real inner turmoil.

One way to keep the balance going is to separate the duties out with your Higher Self, and then give yourself a layer of protection.

  • Call your Higher Self and position it above you.
  • Connect to Higher Self using a silver cord and then ask that an interdimensional cone of light be placed over you.
  • Create a diamond bubble around you that shields you from your Higher Self.
  • Ground your human self and your Higher Self to Gaia or Earth.
  • Task your Higher Self with the spiritual duties, like channeling forgiveness or love all day, and make sure you are focused on seeing your Higher Self perform those duties.
  • Then prepare your human self for the day ahead, with whatever the specifics you need.

Ground to Gaia

One of the reasons that we battle to ground right now, is our vibrations have raised so much over the past few months that it’s almost too heavy for us to connect to earth properly and feel comfortable there.

Your solution right now is to connect to the spirit or soul of Earth – Gaia. Imagine grounding in the same way you normally would, but call on and ground to the soul of Gaia.

Extra Grounding Cords

Use extra grounding cords to ground your base and second chakras, your Higher Self’s base chakra and if you’re in a twin flame, your twin flame’s base chakra.

You can also try (with permission), grounding your guides and other entities that are helping you. Sometimes it’s the constant connection to the spirit plane that keeps detaching our grounding cords, so by grounding the beings that send you the connections you run less risk of becoming ungrounded.

The Infinity Pin

If you’re really battling to ground and find that you just can’t get it to stick, then use an infinity pin.

Once you’ve collected all the grounding cords and they’ve made their way down into earth, see them collected into a single bundle. Now take an infinity sign, wrap it around the cords and stick a feather through the open loops of the infinity sign – almost like a hair clip.

Intend that this will anchor the grounding, and if you are still unsure, then use three feathers to pin the loop, or ask your guides and angels to pin the infinity loop for you. It is however important that you visualize it as being in place.
