Ego is one of those vague concepts that we all understand, but can’t quite pin down and verbalize. So what really happens inside you when your Ego gets in the way of a heartfelt response and effective communication, and how can you mitigate it in future?
According to a 1988 Gallup Poll, 94% of respondents said it was important to forgive, while 85% said they couldn’t do it with outside help.
Even regular prayer was not found be effective in achieving forgiveness.
So what is it that people get wrong about forgiveness that makes it seem like it is so far outside our reach?
Inherently, we understand that forgiveness is powerful technique for freedom, but through lack of experience or understanding, we often don’t understand how.

The 7Ps of Ego - Understanding Ego and Easily Solving Issues with Mirrors
Remember Ego is all about separation and identity.
Ego is the tool that enables us to break a larger soul into smaller, individuated pieces that have a complete identity. So it’s the mechanism of creation.
Ego responses and emotions (what humans call Ego), is anything that makes you feel inferior or superior to the person or situation in front of you.
People don’t understand you and you don’t fit in If you’re really honest about it, the reason that you started the spiritual seeking was because you don’t fit into society - people don’t understand you or get you. For most of us, the journey was tied to likability and popularity - obviously as we became more spiritual, more people would be drawn to us and like us. Whether it was fixing the relationships with our parents, or our kids, or finding a lover, or a group to work with, the underlying presupposition was always that this journey would bring us closer…
Possibly the most frustrating thing about working with Ego is the deep attachment to personalisation, victim mentality, suffering and the willful ignorance.
I distinctly recall being given timelines on my dark night, knowing that I would still face years of trial, and sticking my head down and doing it.
Even though I knew I was in for the long haul and it would be difficult and painful, I still said okay. And I opened myself to change.
Personalization on the Ego Journey
Also applies to suicide and depression
The single most important concept that you need to understand in order to start understanding Ego, is personalization.
But personalization is a massively difficult concept to understand when you are still doing it to yourself, so I’m always looking for the simplest analogies and verbalization in order to be explain it and try to relay the concept.
When you first start working with statements, and releasing issues on the cognitive level, it feels like very slow going at first…. I mean you’re answering question after question, bringing statement after statement to awareness, but it doesn’t feel like you’ve made any progress.
A grief and loss experience, post-ascension
So I don’t often get really tangible experiences to illustrate what it’s like for me since I crossed over, what you can expect and why you want to get there, but my current experience of grief and loss over Eggy is unfolding…. and it’s fascinating.
Why are you unhappy and depressed?
I remember, as a young adult, hearing this term of “stress” for the first time… and not really knowing what it was.
Like our current trends of instant gratification and FOMO, stress was the hot trending topic.
So this theme has really been prevalent the past few days… giving up and what’s the point?
Why does your life matter and why does all of this difficult stuff that you’re going through matter?
How does it make a difference?
